Woodstock Players

"To grasp the full significance of life is the actor's duty, to interpret it is his problem, and to express it his dedication." Marlon Brando

WOODSTOCK PLAYERS

Woodstock Players (Inc) are the longest standing and most active community theatre group in the Burwood area, delivering three to four productions a year - classics, mysteries, farce, comedies, musical theatre, cabaret and cutting-edge drama.

Established by Burwood Council and Founding Artistic Director Marleen Nandi in 1984, we mostly perform in the Ballroom of the gracious and historic Woodstock Mansion in Burwood. The Ballroom holds around 60 audience members, and so gives a new meaning to the term "intimate theatre"!

Our audience base comes from both the local Burwood community and the wider Sydney region - and even further afield - two of our regulars travel from Cooktown and Melbourne!

If you are interested in theatre and would like to become involved as an actor, director or stagehand, you can email us via this website.
